什么是传神翻译？
文学翻译贵在“传神”。所谓“传神”，就是把原文的意思表达得非常准确，意境展现得非常逼真、鲜活，让人读后产生一种拍案叫绝的冲动。要实现这一目标，除了具备深厚的语言功底，学习和掌握一定的翻译技巧也是非常有益的。

怎样翻译下面的英语句子？怎样翻译才比较传神？
I couldn't resist the temptation for a bit of mischief.
相关段落和背景信息：
下面的段落是作者驾驶直升机、为他第二次的登月飞行进行训练时的情景：
Small boats dotted the clear water below and bright islands mounded here and there on the river. Hardly a ripple disturbed the mirrorlike surface. After so many months of hard work and concentration, I couldn't resist the temptation for a bit of mischief known among pilots as "flatbatting." So I nosed over and swooped down from a couple of hundred feet to dance the chopper around the island beaches and among the boaters, steadily getting closer to the surface.

难点分析和翻译技巧：
这个句子并不复杂，这里的难点在于对“temptation”和“mischief”的准确理解和传神展现。
Temptation是“诱惑”的意思。Couldn't resist the temptation …是个常用句型，就是“抵挡不住某种诱惑”的意思。
Mischief有“伤害”“破坏行为”等意思。此外，美国的Webster’s New World College Dictionary给出了mischief的如下释义：
Mischief: a troublesome or annoying act; prank（烦人的行为；恶作剧）
这个释义比较适合我们的语境。
试译：
小船点缀着下面清澈的水面，河中散布着一些明亮的小岛。水面像镜子一样，几乎没有一丝波纹。经过长达数月的艰苦训练和埋头工作，我禁不住想来点儿恶作剧——飞行员们所称的“冒险低飞”。于是我机头朝下从200英尺的高度开始俯冲，并在小岛沙滩和小船中间绕飞，而且离水面越来越近。
这里的“我禁不住想来点儿恶作剧”就比较传神地展现了原文的意境。
