Last summer I decided to have my hair coloured red. It never really went red, more of a pinky, purple and it took three lots of bleaching and a lot of toner to get it out! My hair is definitely feeling the consequences of bleach, so I decided to have a treatment to get some hydration back into it. I booked in with LJ for my appointment at ‘The Salon’ in Harleston and we discussed my hair care needs. My hair was looking dull and felt really dry so she decided to use the award winning, label.m ‘Intensive Mask’ on my hair. The mask, combines ingredients such as bran, cottonseeds, shea butter and cupuau to hi-drench and restore the hair as well as shielding it from heat damage and UV rays. LJ washed my hair with the Honey and Oat shampoo and conditioner and then began the treatment. She applied the mask through my hair, gave my scalp a massage and then left it in for a few minutes to work it’s magic. I was delighted with the results. My hair felt softer, smoother and lighter. I had lots of comments about how shiny it looked too which was great. I had the shiny song from Moana in my head for days, (if you haven’t heard it click the link, it’s a good’un). Once the treatment was removed, the label.m protein spray and volume mousse were applied to my wet hair. Jess then blow dried my hair and finished with the label.m shine mist (which I love). If you need some hydration back in you hair, you’ve bleached it, over heated it or it just feels dry from this sudden heat wave, then i’d highly recommend calling LJ on 01379 854 130 to book your appointment for the intense conditioning treatment. Even if your hair doesn’t ‘need’ it... I really believe it is important to take some time out for yourself. For me, a trip to the The Salon isn’t just about having my hair done. It’s seeing friendly faces, catching up with friends, having a hot cup of coffee and reading a magazine cover to cover. And, if you’re lucky, there may even be a marshmallow in the sweetie jar!
